Leaves falling, geese calling, and another harvest as we all feel the change sweeping across our lives, both literally in this season and all the myriad ways change is happening for us collectively and individually, breaking our hearts open, again and again.
There is something about fall that really draws me to the humble wisdom of the trees, and the leaves making their way back to ground. Another death, a letting go, the ending of a chapter. To arrive again at the opportunity to make peace with what life is, not what we want it to be, and to allow the Earth to transmute, recycle, and compost all that we can’t carry forward.
We have had a full summer here at Inner Freedom. In August we held our first Open Field, a 1 hour drop-in with the herd. We had eleven participants – I enjoyed it so much! Open Field is a chance to be in community with other horse-curious individuals and to simply be present, connect, and open to the grace and magic of this herd. It is a $20 suggested donation.
We will hold our second Open Field on this Saturday, October 11th, at 11am. The theme is grounding. In honor of the season, as in fall-ing to the ground; in honor of the spacious presence the horses offer us to return to our grounding; and in honor of the mystical and misunderstood wisdom of our bodies, carrying us all to and fro in our journeys in life, around and around, up and down.

Finally, I want to share my deep thankfulness for each of you who have shown up this season to be with the horses. We have had many incredible gatherings and I am sharing some photos below. Truly magical and cosmic Circling Centers with High Low Tarot (stay tuned for more in 2026), the Herd Heart Healings that Stacy Nelson and I began offering this year (and are continuing), the Fall Equinox Flower Mandala my friend Preeti shared with us in the barn (more soon maybe!), plus all the individuals and groups who came for time with the herd…Wow. I remain in awe. Of both the gift of being able to partner with this herd and how the herd meets those called to be here.
We remain available to anyone interested in joining us this fall for Herd Heart Healings, Herd Experiences, and Group Herd Experiences. It is such a special time of year to be in the pasture! We hope you’ll join us – at Open Field on 10/11, or at another gathering this fall, or beyond.
